Our recent trip to South Africa vividly exemplified the profound impact of hunting as conservation, a phrase often used to defend hunters and educate non-hunters. Unlike mere words, our ten days in Africa provided a tangible example of this concept. On this continent, hunting isn’t a recreational pursuit but a means of survival, where a successful hunt can mean the difference between eating and going hungry, or providing crucial sustenance to those in need.
During our stay, we harvested remarkable animals, which directly contributed to the local community’s protein intake. The financial resources we invested bolstered local economies, while the items we purchased provided joy to children in the area. Most significantly, our interactions with schoolchildren instilled hope for brighter futures, all stemming from hunting—an activity often criticized in America as cruel and inhumane.
The trip underscored that hunting serves conservation purposes on multiple fronts. It generates revenue, supports local livelihoods, and fosters optimism among disadvantaged communities. Our wish is for more individuals like Adrian and Evelyn to reshape public perception and foster constructive dialogue, shedding light on the true essence of hunting as conservation. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE CONTINUED SUPPORT! WE WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE LIVES ONE CHILD AT A TIME🙏🏾
