2023 Texas Outdoorsman of the Year
Leon A. McNeil was chosen Texas Wildlife Association’s Outdoorsman of the Year with honors on October 10, 2023. In addition to his teaching career, Leon is the founder and driving force behind City Kids Adventures, a nonprofit organization that aims to provide underprivileged children with enriching experiences and opportunities. Through this organization, Leon and his family empower young individuals to explore the world beyond their communities, fostering curiosity, resilience, and personal growth. City Kids Adventures offers a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and mentorship opportunities, serving as a beacon of hope and opportunity for countless children in the San Antonio area.
